I love Jesus. When I was 18, I told Jesus I would follow Him anywhere. In 2007 that meant moving to Nashville from Michigan and being led to The Anchor Fellowship! I like to encourage people and here at the Anchor I try to encourage people through words, prayers, teaching, writing, spiritual direction, practical assistance or by just showing up.
I love the people who come to this church. This diverse group includes seekers; God-worshippers; Jesus-followers; thinkers; creatives; individuals passionate about their callings, serious about living out the radically loving Way of Jesus in their daily lives; listeners to the Holy Spirit; playful. By the grace of God, we are in this life with Christ for the long haul.
Currently, half of our number are little children. And now God has given us buildings and land. So where do I think Jesus is leading The Anchor? Deeper into His Heart, if we will. From there I believe He is leading us into doing new things appropriate for the times, while reinforcing that which the church still needs to grow, to become a Force of Love and transformation in this world.
