Looking For Ways To Serve?

Kids Ministry

Partnering with parents in leading children to a relationship with Jesus.

Our goal in Anchor Kids is to partner with parents in leading children to know Christ in a way that transforms their daily lives. We know that a partnership with parents is essential, and the home is the primary place for children to grow in knowing God.

Check-in & Pick-up: We begin accepting children at 10:20AM. Upon arriving, you will fill out a personalized sticker for your child. When you pick up your child at 12:15PM, we will make sure your sticker matches the number assigned to your child, and no one can pick up your child without that sticker.

Sick Policy: Because we care for the health of your child and the other children in their classroom, please do not bring your child if they have had any of the following symptoms in the 24 hours leading up to the service: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, persistent cough, green or yellow nasal drainage, or any unexplained external rash.

Volunteers: So, who are the people in the classroom with your child?  Each leader in kids is a volunteer who attends The Anchor.  They volunteer on a rotating basis to love and teach children about Jesus.  Each volunteer goes through a screening process before they can be in a classroom with kids.  The volunteer fills out a detailed volunteer application. The volunteer is trained and assigned a classroom with an age group they enjoy.

Hospitality

Creating a generous and welcoming community where people are seen and known.

The vision of Hospitality is to help the Anchor create a generous and welcoming community where people are seen and known. We strive to achieve this purpose through intentional acts of service to our community and by reflecting the love and service that we have experienced in Christ.

Matthew 22:36-40 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”  Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

We are ushering people into worshipping the Lord through simple acts of hospitality.  We are so thankful for you, and we know that your time and talents are vital to serving our community well.

We have several roles to serve within our hospitality team. We have Set Up Team, Connectors, Panera Pick-Up, Meal Ministry and Care Team.
